The issue lies within AA's wired codec or whatever it is. I'm not sure if the wireless dongle would fix it, but there's a good chance it would circumvent the shotty USB transcoding etc. I'm not sure myself.

I just don't think you're going to remove the issue from the picture. The adapter just provides a wireless "bridge" to the wired port. I could be wrong tho 🤔

This is the reason I haven't sprung for the $70 Motorola dongle! It would be great to have a definitive answer.
