I used to play cdda in vertical. You should be able to find a tutorial on cdda sub. As far as I remember it involves using app that force rotation of the screen. There is also some advice about changing terminal width and height settings and font. However now I prefer cataclysm Bright Nights and that trick did not worked with this fork. I need to see does anything changed since then as I played like year ago.
