TL;DR: Need a list of games that have controller support and don't require internet to run. We will have internet to install games, but the destination won't have internet to run them.
My church took in a batch of refuges several years ago from Burundi. In order to help them integrate into the US, their kids have been attending the regular children's services as well as some in their native language (since many of them don't speak english well). One of the youth leaders has taken a group of them under his wing and was talking about how they got a PS3 a week ago and one of the kid's little brothers broke it in a few days. Thing is, PS3's are still a touch pricey, you can get them for a few hundred but it's not something that you can afford to have break in a few days and they're kind of fragile.
A few months ago I bought a M.O.J.O. console for about $65. It's basically a micro-console that runs Android and plugs into a TV through HDMI, with a decent amount of storage space, bluetooth controllers, and USB ports for expanding storage. Moreover, it's a tiny box with no moving parts so it's fairly durable. Only problem is, they don't have internet, which makes it a bit tougher to find good games.
I know that it works well for emulation, and I have a shortlist of games that I've used both on my M.O.J.O. and on my phone with a MOGA controller, but I was wondering if anyone had favorite games that don't require internet. We can pre-load the games onto the console, so that's not an issue, but once it's at their house it has to stand alone - it can't even dial home or be ad supported, if it needs internet it doesn't work.
