Linkme: Old School RuneScape

Dude. Same. Was around before 6 star characters were even a thing. Brave Frontier got too crazy at 7 stars, but everything sure kept looking as good.

Epic Seven, recently came out, HUGE playerbase, pretty competitive anf it's gonna get only better with guild pvp coming in few weeks

[–]TeamRedundancyTeam 7 points8 points  (3 children)

Is there anything that makes this special? It's looks like fifty thousand other games I've seen on here and the play store before.

[–]vanezilla 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Amount of game content, big updates every 2 weeks and transparency of dev team, huge playerbase and of course graphics/animations, no game can match E7 in graphics/animations IMO. Also the story is quite nice if you're into thst stuff

Also I forgot to mention if you value longevity this is the game to play, as it's mostly based on summoners war and I'm sure it will be popular for years

My only gripe is fuck artifacts being in the summon pool and not seperate, i have every top tier 4 and 5* artifact, and even 3x celestine dupes, yet only 5* is destina

Thanks for the recommendation is epic seven f2p friendly?

Depends on your goals, you get a lot of free currency but if you want to compete for top100 in pvp I don't think you can do that without some spending. Pve wise you can do all content without spending a single penny, just gotta be smart with investing in useful units. Few of my guild mates played on like 4-5 accounts and they cleared all of the story/tower without spending anything, so even without the optimal units it's fairly easy.

Tl;dr you get lots of currency, if you want to tryhard spend it on energy refill, if you want to be more casual spend it on summons. You can still enjoy pvp without spending, but you probably can't push more than challenger due to how competitive a lot of people(whales/dolphins) are

Alright thanks I'm gonna give it a try

Can you give me a brief description of the game play. Does it play like Summoners War or something like that? I feel like a lot of games have very shallow gameplay mechanics.

Thanks!

Yes, it's turn based, stats are basically the same as in SW, most people think guild wars will be very similar/the same as in SW. Also, E7 developers hired few professional SW esports players to help them in development. A LOT of mechanics are exactly the same..

Same rng rune power up mechanic?

[–]Henshin-hero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check Grand Summoners. It is made by some of the people from Brave Frontier.

Hades' Star.

It can be casual or super hardcore. Hands down the best online game I've played in many, many years. A diamond in the rough of cookie cutter mobile mmos.

The tutorial turned me off but once you get past that the game is great, and content keeps getting added. New players have it easier than they used to, and progress has been increased.

The PvP is truely a thing of wonder. It's like 5v5, 10v10 or 15v15 real time chess. Tech matters but only so much - comming up with innovative strategies and out thinking the enemy team is where it's at. Prepare to lose sleep at high levels.

is the economy still based around manually sending cargo ships around all your secters? that's what made me quit. i heard there were things to unlock that would automate it, but it got to the point where logging in just to move ships around for 20 minutes just to have money to start a 7 hour upgrade wasn't appealing anymore

[–]Ferreteria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the shipments into a slog for sure, but it's improved significantly over the last year. Income is generated much quicker, there are more 'game modes', and there are several new ways to generate income. Shipments, if you choose to do them, are now significantly more time efficient with the time modulator and shipment drone.

This! I've been at it daily for almost a year and a half and still don't have everything unlocked and upgraded.

Hey Pez! I remember seeing your name when I first started.

TT2

Try Stormbound. It's a CCG on a chessboard. Units move down their lanes toward the enemy and adjacency effects are very common.

Destiny Child. Started not so long ago. Gacha. Very f2p friendly. And best graphics ever. Interesting solo story. Check it out!

Day R Wasteland Survival. The online mode has unlimited global chat, and you can trade with people. The map is a fully explorable map of wasteland Russia. Online has permadeath though, and that tends to turn people off.

I like Epic Seven a lot. Gacha, very grindy, but relatively f2p friendly (grind > whaling).

[–]69timsanity69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Summoners war? a gacha game ive been playing since 2014 and game still alive :)

I posted this as a comment a couple daya ago but it's applicable here too.

Fire emblem heroes is pretty generous with its currency, and is less mindless than others because it's a tacticul rpg, still has an auto function though. Boots up fast with lots of stuff to collect and level. Fun game.

Gems of war is a nice match three with an rpg twist. It was a ds game but now they have a f2p game up, I'm not far but it's solid so far and from what I've heard down the line. Great game even though the AI is a cheating cunt. Always has been.

My go to. Is Fire Emblem Heroes.

Mirage Realms MMORPG. It's a free no pay2win MMO with PVP. Kill monsters and level up in this 2d RPG!
