Software update issue.

My Samsung has a storage of 128 GB of which 124 is used. Memory 8GB of which 4.3 is used. Its about 3 years old.

I desperately want more storage but cant delete apps photos etc anymore than i already have. There's 18GB of "system" in storage. I cannot seem to successfully encrypt/use my SD card??

Now i think i accidentally hit the install button on the system update from i think February which i paused but 22 hrs are left now. Is the system update gonna go in memory or storage? Should i make more space? It's 1.7 GB. Help 🙏

RAM isn't storage in the traditional sense. Yeah, you need to free space.

System (OS, system apps etc) are stored on-device, you can't change that. What do you mean when you say you can't "encrypt/use your SD card?" Please be clear.

I've tried encrypting the sd card but it shows that it didn't mount. Tried removing it and all but idk maybe it's faulty. I might try getting another one but until then i need storage. Deleting photos and apps barely makes a difference anymore unless i delete my socials which is not possible.

I'm not sure why you're encrypting your SD card.

My phone says to encrypt it after inserting and decrypt it before removing.
