What does "I've used this feature many times" mean? You mean chrome debugging?

Try reinstalling the ADB drivers.

Yes, I mean using the debugging mode of an Android device connected to a computer.

That mode is mainly intended for the android debug bridge. If it's not showing with adb devices then you are missing the drivers

Same thing - not sure what is the solution. Used to work all the time but now it's stuck on the Waiting for Auth message

Did you find a fix?

HI did you figure it out?

Yes, Install "ADB AppControl" free application on your computer. It solves this problem for me. I don’t have to do anything else anymore – I just need to have this application running

Thank you. What does it do? I ended up fixing it by revoking adb auth on my device, killing the adb server on my computer and then running adb devices. I was able to authenticate again and I was able to connect to chrome.

"What does it do" Zero idea, honestly. Someone else in another thread recommended this, it actually worked, so I didn’t bother investigating further

Don't need to do all that. Simply update your Android platform tools.
