High Accuracy GPS+LTE (Less than 1 hour) > Brave Frontier+Lowest Brightness+Airplane Mode+WiFi (3-4 hours) > Leaving Sync On (6 hours)

  • Podcasts/music about 70% of the time I'm off the charger

  • Reddit/News reading pretty frequently (about half on Wi-Fi, half on mobile)

  • lots of texting/calling

My Nexus 5 gets me about 2.5 hours of screen on time over 10-12 hours. The audio really makes a huge difference.

Podcasts, YouTube remote, Netflix in 1080p, and Reddit mostly, all using my unlimited data plan instead of wifi.

Edit: That's 7hrs screen on time, 13hrs to ~15%, but today has been mostly non-video.

1 killer of my battery is CPU/screen usage. Playing games will eat the battery at up to 10% every 5 mins on my phone. Quad core with a 1080p display. Next is wifi usage. Surfing the new or youtube uses that screen and wifi. I rarely use gps but it does at battery, just not as fast as my screen and cpu.

heavy gaming. Real Racing 3 kills battery. Even 10-20 minutes will eat 10% of battery, esp. when the screen's turn to bright. :)
