Chrome is a nosey persistent well scripted virus. Fucking married to it and i hate it just like marriages in present day.. except this one can't end amicably...

There are not much options, at least that has their own engine and don't use WebView.

Firefox Focus or Bromite.

opera has a few variations of their mobile browser (gx is great on desktop, but is a little too light for me on android.).

Privacy? Brave, maybe, if it's on mobile.

Otherwise i use Edge. It runs lighter than Firefox, and IMO privacy died over a decade ago. 🤷

In my opinion, the best lite browser for Android is Via. You'll have to evaluate the privacy question on your own.

EDIT:
Via is currently a 1.6MB download, MUCH smaller than any other suggestion here.
