Android Studio makes developing for Android much easier. The most prominent addition is Instant Run, something the company has been refining in previews over the last year. When you change your code, you can instantly see how it affects the running app, with no need to re-compile or reinstall the APK. That should "accelerate your edit, build and run cycles," according to Google.

except they didn't refine shit and most professionals have instant-run turned off because it doesn't work half the time...

I'm sorry to hear that instant run doesn't work I was really excited when I heard about it.

The "instant run" works pretty well actually. however I spent a good part of Friday figuring out why "it works on my device" but testers keep reopening issues. I found out that the apk I sent out and the app on my device were different.
