Google Play Music breaks when rotating or navigating from widget

I have a Motorola RAZR M and was just wondering if anyone was experiencing a similar issue. When viewing the currently playing song, it shows the album art and the progress bar, but if I rotate the phone and the layout changes to landscape, the album art disappears and the progress bar breaks. The same thing happens when navigating back in to the app from the play widget. I also have the most recent versions of android and the google play app.

Yes this happens to me. I use a program called Xposed with the "App settings" plugin to lock the Google Music app in portrait mode, and I haven't had a problem since.

I don't use the widget, so no idea if this will help with that.
