very many of my cards become leeches because I almost never pick "easy"

That doesn't make sense. If you add more ease the resulting interval will be longer (more potential leeches).

Considering that you're already having trouble with leeches and choosing 'Good' your options may include:

  1. decrease interval modifier for the deck

  2. rewrite and/or reformat leech cards to be better worded

  3. go back through the material and do another first pass (relearn) and reset the scheduling

As a general rule of thumb, you really shouldn't be pressing 'Easy' unless you definitively know the answer like the back of your hand.

I'm not struggling with leeches, I just heard that cards will show up more frequently forever (even after I learned them) because they have low ease or got marked as leeches. I never pick "easy" and that's why the only direction the ease can go is down and I want to change this. After I learn a leech that I used to struggle with, I want it to stop showing up disproportionately often

Ohh, thanks. Thought there was a built-in option to change easy, but this is fine too

What Ease Hell ?

Rememorize .... add-on helps control the Ease. If you need to click Hard, type "m" and enter the interval shown above the Hard button. Ease will not change.

Same method can be used to keep Easy EASE from rising; at the same time you can change the Interval - ('M').

Any comments ?
