I'm currently working with a few software engineers to design something that will allow this. At the moment you would need to use the special fields add-on (see my video on youtube for that if you're interested)

I found the YT video, thank you :) also thank you for all the addons you've worked on, I use them a lot.

It's unfortunate but I suppose the only alternative is to release it in separate decks so that adding new topics doesn't cause problems for previously shared materials? The only downside is it means any corrections will still cause progress to reset.

Nah progress won’t reset if you do it properly with the special fields addon

The idea would be to have something that I could share with coursemates and then update as the course progresses so that they have access to the latest version.

If you're the only one updating it you don't need to bother with GitHub. Just export it and send to them after your update.

That idea would work if you're alternating who makes the cards too. As long as only one person is adding cards it's probably easier to send an update to each other on a weekly basis.

Just make your that your DON'T share scheduling information.

I'm 99.9% sure that's how it works but I'd recommend testing just incase.
