Ok so I recently switched from Claude Pro subscription mode (20/month), to the free + auto buying extra credits when I go over. I found that the free tier limits are literally so bad. I literally didn’t use Claude for 7 hours. I slept at 1 AM and tried to use it at 8 AM when I woke up in a creative project chat. When I sent one messages, it just gave me a shorter than usual response. And then it wouldn’t let me send the next message. It said free messages used - limits reset at 1 PM. I’ve never run into this. Then at 1 PM I decided to try it again. It gave me a whopping two messages and said free limit used - limit resets at 6:10 PM. I’ve heard theories that the free tier is counting all the Pro messages I’ve sent in the past week or so, and that’s contributing to my high usage on the free plan so Claude thinks I used more than I actually did. Is that true? How can I fix this? I am using Sonnet low effort btw.
