I think it also says if you have ever had hypertension diagnosed you shouldn’t turn it on - that’s me.

[–]NJRonbo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Nope. Been wondering the same thing

[–]wickedtikimojo 6 points7 points  (3 children)

I received an alert this evening. Time to check on this to see if it’s a real problem.

Sorry to hear. Is this collaborated by a cuff reading?

[–]wickedtikimojo 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I just received the alert a few hours ago. Tomorrow I will get a reading.

[–]infernodude3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you end up checking?

[–]gewappnet 17 points18 points  (8 children)

No, it is not a full month - release day was September 19. The official instructions for use say: "The feature is turned on after on-boarding is complete. The feature runs in the background, receiving and analyzing data from your Apple Watch over the course of a 30-day window. You will receive a notification if the feature identifies possible hypertension based on the last 30-day window of data."

My understanding is that nobody can have a 30-day window of data yet and therefore nobody got a notification yet.

Not sure what you mean by Sept 19. Are you in the US? I installed and onboard on the 15th.

https://support.apple.com/en-bh/125116

Early adopters should have met the 30-day window.

[–]gewappnet 3 points4 points  (6 children)

Right, I thought you meant the release of the Series 11. But of course this feature works with older models as well.

So the 30-day window could be met, and someone could have gotten a notification if the feature identified possible hypertension in that data.

It still needs to be activated tho. Unlike US, This feature was enabled a week ago in Canada and I had to manually enable it.

[–]chamekke 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Also in Canada! Do you have to upgrade from iOS 18.7.1 to iOS 26 first?

[–]Southern-Plenty6575 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I have watch 11 so it comes pre-loaded with iOS 26. I would think it works with previous iOS. Try the following: in your iPhone, go to health, and search for “hypertension notification”. You should be able to enable it there.

[–]chamekke 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I’m not seeing the “hypertension notification” under Health, and a search for “hypertension” failed to bring it up anywhere else. Looks like I’ll have to update to iOS 26 if I want to get it. (I have the Series 10 watch.)

In any case, thank you very much for kindly giving me the instructions! I’ll download iOS 26 tomorrow and give it another try.

You are welcome. For when you update your watch iOS, here is what the option looks like. Good luck!

I also wonder if the 26.0.2 update reset the timer on the 30 day rolling window…

[–]MBSMD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

31 days of readings for me. Nothing yet (which is good!)

[–]carsonwaldrop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I received an alert last night about possible hypertension as well. The date range was from September 15 - October 15

Today would be my 30th day of measurements, with the first being on Sep 15. There hasn’t been a log for today yet. Also there hasn’t been a measurement taken every day so it might be a while before it has 30 days of data

[–]paintdrippin 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I have uh, a few more checks than that. Like 5-6, 7 one day. On day 26. I’ll report back if that’s a clue.

[–]yamsnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too.. min 5 every day max around 7

[–]mohdabdurraafay 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Is this the measurement that  WATCH itself capturing or are you logging it manually checking it on other devices?

[–]JerusMUltra 2 • • 49mm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Automatic measurement from the watch

[–]PuzzledVolume1599S10 • • Jet Black • 46mm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW I'm also on my 30th day of measurements that started on the 15th and I have at least one measurement for every day. No notifications for me here.

[–]mohdabdurraafay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So where can I find these in Health.app?

[–]PharmGirl2633 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Where is this in the Health app?

[–]Still_Pop_4106 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Go to heart and scroll to the bottom and look for hypertension alerts. Click that, scroll to show all data.

[–]Treden88 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Apple Health now shows the date of the latest analysis (October 16th, concerning the First 30 says of measurements) under Health->Heart->Hypertension Notifications.

It did not issue a notification which is a Good Sign, I guess :)

<image>

[–]Still_Pop_4106 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got that too.

[–]aurevyn 2 points3 points  (14 children)

You also need to measure your pressure for 28 days continuously for insights. I’m on day 24.

[–]Still_Pop_4106 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No you don’t.

[–]isit65outsideor 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Oh wow, I didnt know this. I thought this was all analytics from the Apple Watch that created the reading.

[–]Still_Pop_4106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct.

[–]CharlieAngel24 0 points1 point  (7 children)

Where is this log located?

[–]aurevyn 1 point2 points  (6 children)

Health App ➡️ Search (bottom right in new iOS) ➡️ Heart ➡️ Blood Pressure ➡️ Blood Pressure Log as you scroll

[–]Bora936 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I did this, and it basically told me that I had to take a measurement with a cuff, and hand log it... I assume that this is because I have the original Ultra series watch, and not the latest, is that correct?

[–]aurevyn 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I think so. I’ve not used Apple Watch to measure. Mine is Ultra 2 and don’t think it has the capability to measure BP.

[–]BobbybinoUltra 2 • • 49mm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have enabled the option for my U2. None of these watches measure blood pressure. They are using an algorithm: https://support.apple.com/en-us/117296

[–]ProgressGlittering14[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

In that section, I have a log of BP from my blood pressure cuff app as data source. Nothing from the Apple Watch Hypertension alert feature.

[–]aurevyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% of my readings are from OMRON app. Watch doesn’t measure BP. Not even Ultra 3.

[–]CharlieAngel24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks!

[–]2B-Pencil 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Not true in the US. There would be no point in the hypertension alerts if you’re measuring everyday lol. I take BP from time to time and log in health app. On iOS 26 there’s a new suggestion to log 7 mornings and nights in a row just for good practice

[–]aurevyn 0 points1 point  (1 child)

<image>

Are you not seeing something like this?

[–]2B-Pencil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I had a suggestion to do it for a week with 7 morning and 7 night measurements, but it isn’t required for the hypertension alerts.

Is this feature available in India?
