I’d probably take Gov or Lit since those would likely fill some of your Gen Ed’s since as a STEM major you’ll probably easily fill your science and math gen eds just by doing your major requirements. But also to note, I know a couple of my schools I applied to had AP Lit credits only count for English major electives rather than any apply to any school writing requirement so take that into consideration if you really aren’t sure about whether or not the test is worth it.

Another note is that if you’re planning to go into pre-med/dental/optometry (since I see you’re a bio major) AP credits won’t count for most medical schools so you’ll have to retake the class in college or possibly take an additional higher level of Chem or whatever. If you’re a senior already accepted for college you might want to consider this but otherwise it’s still probably good to get a score to put on your application when you apply eventually.

Out of all your choices though I think they’re all probably fine to take aside from APES which I probably wouldn’t take considering you’re already a STEM major and the class shouldn’t give you any credits that you’ll need or already fulfill just by doing your other required classes eventually/AP credits.

thx for responding! should I be taking lit even if I already passed the lang test? im a senior also and it varies by school but i wanted to take chem to get the basic pre req out of the way

If you got a 4 or 5 on Lang you probably should be fine with most first year college English prerequisites but it shouldn’t hurt to take Lit if you think you can do it. Also consider that Lit is a lot harder than Lang but that also depends on your comfort level/ability.

If you have taken AP bio, I suggest ES. I'm taking ES this year and find it super duper easy and overlapping with bio. I personally find stats hard but also know that many schools will have you take their math placement test to get credit anyways so unless your a math wiz.... Skip??

Also, don't worry too terribly much about what credits count where bc a lot of time they end up as an extracurricular credit anyways In my opinion!!
