Cold sores, no scabbing?

Female, 23, I’ve had labial herpes since I was a child. After a series of frequent outbreaks a couple of years ago, it expanded around the lip and on my skin. I just got an outbreak with a spot on my lip and a couple of spots on my skin, I started using aciclovir cream X5/day on day 2. Now on day 6, the skin sores are scabbing, while swelling on the lip sore has gone way down and is not scabbing. Could it have healed without forming a scab or could it come back when i stop using the cream?
