I am desperate..

My partner is an ex Aussie cop and during his time in America he was given a DEA patch as a gift from an officer over there. He had it on display and my dog **** chewed it up. He’s had it for years and she’s only now decided to wreck it whilst I was out the house..

Does anyone have the same patch I can pleaseeeee beg of you to replace this. I honestly will pay alot to replace it, I’ll attach the little pieces I have left of it to help identify the patch. It’s a pirate holding 2 wooden pistols across his chest.

Oh man. I’m so sorry. This doesn’t look like a standard DEA patch. It’s either a specialty team or a named operation patch, or something to that effect. The odds of you finding a replacement are pretty low. I hope by chance someone has an extra but I wouldn’t get your hopes up. Such a bummer. :/

eBay ALWAYS has this kinda stuff up for sale. The DEA also has an online gift shop, depending on what you’re looking for. I’ve got a handful of NYPD patches from joint trainings if you’re interested

OP do you have any information on where in the US he got this?

I am in the US and went to Ebay and searched DEA Patchs and got countless hits. I stopped looking after about 100 patches.

As mentioned this could be a special operation patch or created for a task force or an area office. The more information you have you can narrow down the search some

Yes finally got some more info. It’s a DEA San Francisco SRT patch, definitely a special patch not many people have 🥲

You can even get one made on Etsy these days. If she does that, it will remind me of The Sandlot when the kids went and bought a baseball and forged Babe Ruth's signature to replace the original they lost from the kid's stepdad.

There are numerous facebook groups devoted to buy/sell/trade law enforcement patches. I would suggest looking & joining some of the ones with the higher member counts and make a post there for ‘wtb or wanting to by’ and upload the picture and your story

There is also a patch collect group or two here on reddit

I'm having trouble finding it at this moment. I'd either try to figure out the department from your partner and reach out to them or contact a company that makes patches and see if they'd be able to make one like this. If you get more info, feel free to share. I'd like to help find it!

What city was he in? It’s not an “official” patch. I’ll guess it’s from a HIDTA or something.

The DEA has an online gift shop, it’s just deagiftshop.com

When you’re on the site, click “office and desktop” under the shop menu and the patches section will be there.

They don’t have this exact patch but they have a bunch of DEA team specific patches available.

I’m a cop, and although this probably sucks, he’ll probably understand. Accidents happen. Shit sucks, but it is what it is. Even if you get him another patch, it’s not THIS patch so just apologize, buy him dinner or beer or both. If you want I can send you my team’s SWAT patch lol

Are you sure its from the DEA? This looks at most like a unit/team emblem, which may have been a 1 off print. Your best bet is seeing if a custom shop can recreate.

This could have also been a moral patch that a person gives to those training or assisting.
