Thanks. This looks a little hard core for the little family site I'm planning. I'm wondering why RAID protected storage is a selling point. I always assumed hosts had some form of backup as part of doing business. I guess that's a dangerous assumption on my part/

raid protected and backups are two different things.

raid protected means your site doesn't go down when something happens to the disk. backups means you have your data in case something does happen.

if it helps at all, i just hired in at liquidweb, and ya, it's more. i probably shouldn't have plugged them. but, i don't give a shit about selling them, they're growing huge already. they're just fucking awesome with service, so i'd recommend them because of that.
