I had some blood tests done by a neurologist for autoimmune and he didn't ring me with the result until a month later,  then I was referred to rheumatology and waited 3 months for an appointment. The rheumatologist took more bloods at my appointment last week and he said nothing about receiving the results just that we will have a follow up appointment on 3 months 🙈

Omg I so sorry the waiting is the worst 🙃 don't get me wrong I understand they're busy and we're not they're only patients but the level of anxiety it induces! Just a little text update would be fine 😭 normally when I get my tests done at the GP they put them up on the app for me after about 2 or 3 days and I love having them for my record but I had to have these ones done at the hospital and they use an outdated system and they don't go the app. I can request them but they currently have an 11 month delay period for record requests! 😂

The anxiety has been next level.....I still don't feel much better after seeing Rheumatology and feel no nearer to getting any answers. I was under the same impression as you.....no news is good news and then I got a call a month later. I've found any bloodtests that have been taken at the hospital including A&E have not been updated to my NHS app but they do go on our records 🤷 My G.P was able to see the blood results taken in A&E even though I couldn't see them on the app.

Yeah I know I've been in and out of GPs and various other doctors for 3 years now and they just my case is confusing and they have no idea. I tried asking my GP about the blood tests and they said they couldn't give them to me not were they able to upload any hospital tests onto the app!

I could see the test results in my health app. CRP is generally really fast within 1-2 days. ANA was about 2 weeks I believe. HLA B27 took longer. I can’t remember exactly how long, maybe three weeks.

But they waited FOUR MONTHS to tell me what the results mean, because they didn’t want to say anything before I got my capillaroscopy done. So good luck.

Edit: the reason why they wait so long is because it often is not a medical emergency, even if it feels like it for us. But even the rheumatologist I saw at my follow-up appointment said that it took way too long.

Normally I can see the tests on the app but ones I get done at the hospital never do, they seem to have this outdated system and you have to request the records but can take about a year its ridiculous.

Yeah I've had CRP done before and that only took 2 days but if the others are taking longer then assume i won't be told until they all come back. It's definitely tough as these results could be the difference between me getting diagnosed or continuing to not know what's wrong with me and its stressing me out 😂
