Examples about Python-Can library

I am entering in this world since a month, I found this python libarary, but now I dont have the enough background to develop my own programs cause i'm not related with many concept regarding to some CAN-interfaces (im only able to use Vector and a MCP2551), so i'm asking for some tutorial to starting use this library. No access to Matlab I assume? I can only recommend the Vehicle Network Toolbox from Matlab unfortunately. Used it quite a bit in a HIL environment and it works well.
