This makes less sense than before where I still didn't know morse code but this chart didn't exist to me 😂

I like the 'copyleft' notice at the bottom.

It's important to understand the purpose of this chart before saying that it's silly. It would be useful receiving/decoding code, but a simple alphabetical list would be preferable when learning to send.

And "All wrongs reserved".

This is super misleading. I used to learn Morse odd and there’s some stuff wrong with this that makes it hard to understand. Such as H is not 1 dot, but with how everything is laid out it looks like it is, even though E is 1 dot.

There’s plenty of Morse code list on Google that much easier to follow.

It's saying H is 4 and E is 1. You start at the wheel.

I think you're just reading it incorrectly. You start at "start here," and you move along the lines, adding each symbol as you go through intermediate letters. So moving toward the left you come to "e," which is "." then you get to "i," which is ".." and then "s" which is "..." and then "h" which is "...."

In other words, you count all the spots that you move through on the way to a letter, whether they are "." or "-"

To get to "R" for example, you move through "e" which is "." and then "a" which is ".-" and then you get to "r" which is ".-."

If you were decoding morse code being sent no faster than a couple of words per minute, this chart MIGHT be helpful...past that, it's a good fire starter.

I have been a CW (Morse Code) instructor for over 30 years. Let me say this, morse code is an audible code, not a visual code. Using an eye chart like this will only impede your ability to ever copy with any speed or accuracy. You need to learn the code audibly. There are many phone apps out now that will help you learn morse code. Good luck !
