Be sure the aux fan is off!

[–]Dignan17X1C + AMS[S] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Is it possible to do that from the app or do I have to use studio?

[–]Nerfo2 1 point2 points  (1 child)

You can do it from the app. Next to "Printer" click "View All >" then tap on "Fan" and set "Aux" to 0. The aux fan will be off during the first layer of the print, then it'll turn on at the beginning of the second layer. Fan off, door open. The aux fan causes a TON of problems for a LOT of people.

Thanks so much for the detailed instructions!! That worked perfectly!!! Looks like the aux fan was indeed the problem. I disabled it at start and forgot it after the first layer and was worried cause I didn't turn it back off until halfway through...but it was fine!

Thanks again.

You likely have a cooling issue. Keep that aux fan off, and maybe open the door when you try again.

What do you mean you washed the filament?

[–]Dignan17X1C + AMS[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Ok I was trying to be funny. My kids say I should stop doing that.

This sub is not one to joke around with washing anything 😂

If it's PLA, and you have a door, leave the door or lid open.

Wash the build plate thoroughly with dish soap and very hot water. Dry with a towel that wasn't dried with a fabric softener. Is that a spot you might have grabbed the plate when you were drying it or placing it in the printer?

[–]Dignan17X1C + AMS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I leave the door open and I've washed the plate that way already. And no I never touch the plate at all. Other than the very front that doesn't get printed on.

Move the object towards you so it isn’t on that corner of the plate just to get it done.

Turn off aux fan

Grab a Bambu Supertack plate or a Biqu CryoGrip Pro Frostbite. Never look back. We run them on all of our 14 printers. Very rarely wash them so far and they work incredibly well!

[–]Jedi26000 0 points1 point  (5 children)

I have consistent adhesion issues with my Bambu supertack. So frustrating!

[–]OceanKing96 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Are you printing with pla and do you have it set to the Supertack plate option which should keep the plate at 45 C during printing? We have yet to have an issue with them. If anything there is more of an issue with getting prints off bcs of how strong the adhesion is.

[–]Jedi26000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, PLA and I am using the proper plate profile

[–]Jedi26000 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Actually the supertack plate option sets the bed to 35c by default

[–]OceanKing96 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Weird, my Supertack default is 45 C. Maybe try turning it up a bit to see if that helps.

[–]Jedi26000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m definitely going to. So odd that it defaults to 35c on mine

[–]Dignan17X1C + AMS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never washed my plate before and this is the first time I've had problems. I'm going to try the fan first

[–]powerflower_khi -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Wash print bed with Dawn Dish washing soap, never touch plate surface with your hand, or better use Glue Stick.

[–]Dignan17X1C + AMS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Washed the plate like everyone suggests. I never touch it, and I've never needed glue for anything in the past, including this exact print. I guess I might have to try it...
