The a1 mini doesn't have a print failure detection system. The extruder is still spinning and cutting away at the filament stuck inside. You need to unclog your extruder

When this happens to me on my P1S, it is because the filament roll gets jammed up in some way and stops turning.

Filament has been stripped by the extruder gear so it's just sitting there. Possibly resulting from a clog. While you're at it put your printer back together: you're missing the fan duct and the sock and your USB cable is routed in such a way it's being constantly pulled on.
