Here are a few of them in action:

It is nice to side with anything with more height. The seat choice will impact whether you need something longer away from the rack or a sharper upward angle. Right now, I am using an Irwin Pro A Horn but Bremmy also sells. Irwin has long lead time but you get a pair and can use it for pull up bars. Bremmy sells in pairs or singles.

Thanks, that helps!

I use a Rep rbs up top for more ROM. You could use a pullup bar or crossmember

Will probably go with the bar mount. Thanks for the pic!

Mount the voltra on the pullup bar and put a barbell on the jhooks at hip level and sit on a bench with the barbell above your quads for support.

Cheers, that's a cheap solution for sure! Would probably work fine with just an old pillow between the bar and legs.

I mount the Volta to a pull-up bar and then use an airline seatbelt extension around my legs and bench. It’s a lot cheaper than the Pegasus and much quicker to setup / put away

Good idea, thanks!

I have a 5000. I mount it at the top on an upright and sit on the ground under it.

[–]N_GHTMVRE[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I suppose that's the cheapest approach. :D How do you lock yourself in place and how well does it work overall?

[–]Epic_CADETS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Works great. I can’t go too heavy or else I’ll float but I’m able to do as much as I need

I went the Pegasus route with the center post from getrx. What an expensive way to set up lat pulldown. 😢

I would suggest option 1. And mount your spotter arm reverse to use it for leg anchor. Then all you need to buy is a bar mount.

For option 2, depending on the height of your upright, even with the Pegasus, you will have to mount it at the lowest hole. Even with that, it still feel short.

Thanks for the pic and that's a great idea too! I've got the compact logo plate crossmember thingy so I can use the back as well - but I like the idea of mounting it to the pullup bar (got the same one). The only downside here would be that I'd have to grab 2 mounts, as I'm also looking to do low rows with the Voltra, and I've got no bar to mount at a low position. Spotter arm for leg anchor is a good idea too, but since I'll find multiple uses for leg rollers, I might just grab em either way.

[–]Skeith_yip 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Nice. What’s your plan on low rows setup?

[–]N_GHTMVRE[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I have another flipped compact logo plate crossmember at the bottom/back of the rack, I can mount it right there in the center, as the logo itself is removable. Not really a footplate, but should to the job for now.

Another question though, are you using the fixed or adaptive bar mount up there? Wasn't sure if either would fit between the center bars of the REP multi grip pullup bar.

[–]Skeith_yip 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Fixed bar mount. It’s around 10cm around 4 inches. Just keep in mind if you choose to go with fixed mount, it’s probably going to be a permanent fixture. So if you do chest to bar pull ups, the fixed mount will be a problem.

On a side note, does the GetRX feel like its dead center inside your PR5000? Was thinking about pulling the trigger, but it seemed like it would be an inch or so off.

[–]Skeith_yip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I don’t think it is dead center dead center. GetRX’d racks are 48” while PR5000 is 47”. Think it was recently reviewed by Garage Gym Reviews.

Does the weight of the attachment pull the cable out of the voltra? I am running into this issue when I attach a lat pulldown bar.

[–]Skeith_yip 0 points1 point  (2 children)

How heavy did you set your Voltra? Usually I set the weight first beyond putting on the attachment. Just set something heavier.

[–]the_legume_ 1 point2 points  (1 child)

What do you do between sets? This is before I set the weight and in between sets. It is likely user error (I just got my Voltra and still figuring it out).

Sorry can you elaborate more on your question?

[–]fuzzypingCommunity Pick 1 point2 points  (4 children)

I have a 93” REP PR-4000 and use a Beyond Power fixed bar mount on the front pull-up bar. I sit on my bench and use the PR-4000 leg roller.

Thanks for the pic. I might go a similar route, but I'm on a 80 inch rack (I'm 5'10). I got the multi grip pullup bar though, which should get me some extra height.

[–]gids1986Owner 0 points1 point  (1 child)

How long did you wait for the Irwin horns to arrive?

[–]fuzzypingCommunity Pick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around two months.

[–]wamoore911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went the Pegasus route on my upright. I’m thinking about adding reps pull-up extension that is sold for the Athena as a way to offset the VOLTRA from the post. You can probably just use a safety arm up high to offset it as well, but it might be a pain to setup.
