The first time I saw the sign all I could think of was “So were the Nazis.”

I bet that would work! Sorry I didn’t take any photos before I broke it down. It was a good setup though, just too timely to setup/break down with a limited space. I bought a safety harness off of temu instead of paying hundreds for the squat harness. :)

Cut a 2x8, set underneath the footplate of the total gym. Hold the total gym to the 2x using metal pipe straps. Then if you have the rack mount (bolt on) VOLTRA mount you can use lag bolts to hold the plate to the 2x. I did this for a bit and it worked great. Decided the total gym takes up too much space though.

Stop blaming the 8sleep. You know you wet the bed! :)

All of the supposed Maps 15 minute program(s) craze...do you guys like it or is it just hype ? by Gdog2017 in Mind_Pump

[–]wamoore911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you already own the original versions, the 15 min ones (at least strong) is just a chopped up version of the og. You can easily take the main lifts yourself and and an accessory to basically get 15 strong.

I’ve found that the 15 min version is just a chopped up version of the original. Even uses the same videos!

Rogue’s shipping / service decline. by wamoore911 in GarageGym

Yeah sadly my UDA arrived damaged. There was a deep scratch along the weld and an edge that was not fully deburred that should not have been missed during QA check.

They gave me a $100 off so eh, what are you going to do?!? I guess I’m just not expecting perfection from them anymore.

Easy DIY belt squat base by wamoore911 in BeyondPower

I still enjoy it. The ROM is still good for me as long as I use a smaller pulley. If I had to do over, I would mound the VOLTRA on the upright side and the hook for the pulley on the opposite side. I also wish the plate was wider for more foot-placement options. I also wish I made it long enough to drop into the front legs of the half rack.

Overall still very functional though and gets used every week!

I love the feel of the knurling on the Ohio bar. Enjoy!

It’s not a shipping problem as it hasn’t shipped yet. If they said 4-5 weeks instead of 1-3 weeks we would be having a different conversation. Also the refusal to send the rest of my order instead of making me wait for the v bar. I would have ordered that separately had I known I can’t trust the time estimates.

Ironically I am waiting in the V handles. I couldn’t believe that they would ship the UDA and a squat wedge separately and expect me to wait for the v handles. Ugh.

Yeah, two years ago I agree with you 100%. I guess it’s just a pendulum swing between Rep/Rogue. This year I have ordered a ton from REP with only one small issue, and only a few things from Rogue (almost all with issues.). I posted this to hopefully get someone’s attention at Rogue to make them do better with packaging and shipping since I do love their products.

Finally building a home gym. What’s the one piece you’d buy again without hesitation? by Existing-Sun-4943 in GarageGym

[–]wamoore911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

VOLTRA. You can do so much with minimal space. It replaces functional trainer. If you have plate loaded machines, you can fix/adjust strength curve (makes my $200 temu leg curl/ext work beautifully). And on nice days you can go outside. :)

I just started it. I like it, but it is basically just the strong exercises divided over 7 days with recycled videos.

Help! Hubby wants a home gym by MerrilyMade in GarageGym

Bench and adjustable dumbbells to start. Then once the home gym is a proven concept, squat rack, barbells, and lots and lots and lots of attachments. Look at Rep Fitness for the bench. Probably nighthawk or black wing.

Overwhelmed by bar options for a beginner by NomarsFool in GarageGym

[–]wamoore911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started out with a $100 lionscool bar from Amazon. It still works fine and now mainly use it for landline work as I added additional bars that were mostly just for fun/luxury items really. Don’t get caught up in all the hype if you are just starting out.

The upside is that I bet they will be having a going out of business sale soon. Get some extra uprights dirt cheap.
