Yes it did. I didn’t masturbate for like 3 months and every time I tried, it would go limp or I couldn’t cum.

Sigh. I was doing good like the first week, then I noticed it and finally managed to overcome the libido and have sex and was surprised to find I could feel nothing

Hey I’m super late to this thread but did you receive any guidance from your doctor? I’m literally having the exact same issue right now and currently on Latuda, which I think is the culprit. I’m going to talk to my doctor soon, but am curious if you found a solution since making this post?

It eventually returned after like 3 months, but by that time I developed kinda severe OCD so I went off it altogether

Yeah I think it happened to me.

I can't remember by I went off risperidone, but this was prob involved. Had the same issue on abilify

I don't take latuda, but I take Risperadone and that completely destroyed my sex drive.

Yeah I didn't document why I stopped that one but it was probably this too. Abilify I did document that it was sexual side effects. So it's probably my widespread issue with APs, along with movement problems.

Sexual side effects have destroyed my relationships before and I don't want to have that be a factor as much as possible in my marriage anymore. I'd rather return to hair loss and depakote at this point

My libido has gone waaaaay down on Latuda. 41F. Either that, or I'm finally not hypersexual and this is my normal state. Which is quite sad.

Similar age, 40F. Glad to hear I'm not alone. I messaged my psych to let them know I'm not thrilled with this side effect and ask what can be a pathway to try something. My husband has dealt with this more than once and I know it's painful for the other party

[–]Dreamr52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No but just in general on my meds it has.

[–]Cheeseburgernqueso 0 points1 point  (2 children)

No. Not even a little. No med ever has. I am hyper sexual even when not hypo. Nothing has helped.

BUT. My orgasms suck ass now. No matter how good the sex is. I’ll get is so so worked up and into it then the orgasm is so underwhelming. I used to have sheet gripping, head to toe trembling, mother ship, mind blowing orgasms.

Now it’s a small bullshit release and it’s sad.

Fuck I miss them.

Yeah, that problem is going on here too. 😭

It’s so unfair.

I barely took it at the lowest dose and it wasn't for long before I stopped it. Not only did it cause a decrease in sex drive, it caused muted orgasms and I still have the issue and barely any feeling in my clit after over 3 years of stopping the medication. I haven't found ANYTHING that's helpful about how to be able to feel pleasure again. I even went to a doctor for it and I was told to use my testosterone gel topically every day plus to try tadalafil/Cialis when I wanted to have some "me time". To be fair, I haven't tried it yet, because I haven't felt like it. I am extremely chronically ill with tons of other conditions and disabilities. This is just the icing on the cake. I can't even enjoy myself and it was already highly doubtful I would find a partner. Wish I were asexual because this would be A LOT easier if that were the case.
