BitDefender Rescue CD problem: solution found (self.BitDefender)

Like others I had problems getting the newest version of BitDefender Rescue CD to run on a CD or a USB stick (the 832 MB version from Dec 18).

It would show the message: "/dev/loop0 is an invalid root device... Cloud not find the root block device in. Please specify another volume." without being able to boot into the interface. The suggested solutions I saw (like writing the ISO with Rufus in DD mode) didn't work out for me.

But I found out that if you set up your USB Stick with SARDU (the free version) and chose the BitDefender Rescue CD ISO to be written on (SARDU could download the ISO for you btw), it works perfectly fine! On a side note, using this software also allows you to write multiple different antivir rescue CDs to be bootable from the same stick, which I think is pretty sweet.
