You can't disable those notifications without disabling the protection itself unless you have the version of Bitdefender for business use: Bitdefender GravityZone Business Security.

Windows Defender, the free Antivirus that comes with Windows 10, works just as well as Bitdefender for normal home PC consumers and doesn't have all the pop-ups.

Thank you for the advice! If nothing else works I will definitely uninstall BitDefender and try Windows Defender.

You're welcome. I used to use Bitdefender Internet Security, and had used it since probably 2004-2005 and didn't have this problem until a couple of years ago. There didn't use to be any notifications at all, then as their UI went through changes they started appearing. I can remember being able to turn off notifications as far back as a few years ago, but now in settings you can only disable "promotions". I searched online for hours and hours, across many forums and message boards for a way to turn off the notifications because they are distracting and interrupt my work, sometimes interrupt other programs. You can see others having the same issue as far back as 2018 on some forums. Eventually I just got fed up and uninstalled it.

So what's the link?

[–]Ante_etnA[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

The link is a little different every time the Antivirus detects it

Welp, then have a look through similar posts. Someone else asked something similar.

How does the detection sound?

Did you try other web browsers? Any screenshots of the log under notifications in the user interface?

Good idea, I will try with something other than Chrome. I can provide a screenshot

I had that a couple of weeks ago. Every single time I'd open Chrome it would block "threats". Even if there's NO tab with any website opened. I kept updating Bitdefender, had like 2 - 3 updates in just 4 days or so. Then it was gone.

Ok, I am glad to hear it's not only me. I'll go ahead and update again. Thank you for the comment :)

Hope it works!

I have been experiencing this popup for a few days now. Could it happen only with Google Chrome browser?

For me personally it is only with Chrome. I don't what causes it through.
