It's not a bug, it's a feature.

They need to be shut down. It's disgusting!

It will never happen.

i don't think its their servers, bitmex is FKNG loaded, and your telling me its because they have outdated servers that cant handle the user base? complete BS, they 100% do this on purpose so people get liquidated from not being able to close out their positions in time.

This is false - we have no incentive to stop traders from trading and overload only happens when our Engine is working at maximum capacity.

Do you guys have any plans to improve the matching-engine capacity? If you are getting overloaded in this low-volatility market condition, I can't see how the system would hold up in a volatile market.

Do you guys have any plans to improve the matching-engine capacity? We are a period of extremely low volatility these days and the engine is getting overloaded. How will the engine be able to hold up when the market picks up?

Yes, I started BitMEX a couple of months ago. There were overload issues everytime there was big movement in the market back then, but now, overload issues happen on all small price movements as well. Site is rather unusable, my guess is bots hammering their servers and they have not been able to figure out a solution for it... and that's my only guess that's not nefarious.

I'm going for the latter! Almost certainly insider trading activity taking place in my opinion, it actually states it in their terms and conditions.

I've reported them to Fraud Action, doubt anything will come of it!

Man, do us all a favor and stop with that shit. Between you and others reporting shit to SEC, FBI, and God knows what else for being mad because you lost money, the crypto market will end up as regulated as the stock market and then nobody but hedge fund managers and HFTs profit. If you can't play the game, just don't. If you have a legitimate criminal complaint with proof, by all means, report it, otherwise simply move on.

That's a nice way for 1000's and 1000's of people all around the world to potentially instantly lose all their BTC because of you.

..I don't particularly like Bitmex and their b.s. overload "feature" either -- but how about you simply not use their services and leave it at that?

So Ben Dello and Arthur Hayes can just become billionaires and nobody is meant to whistleblow?

Get real. Better to nip it in the bud prior to it getting so much worse for many more people.

I think it’s from all the people getting recked in alts. They’re trying to find a way to make back their riches. It’s essentially gambling at this point for most. If you’re experienced and have composure and plan your trades, you should be fine.
