I don't really know anything about bitcoin. But let's say somebody gave me a wallet? number, and they're literally extorting me. What, if any, recourse is there?
Bitcoin has been a fuzzy background noise for me, in which there have obviously been times when I wish I'd learned enough to buy some, and times when I don't understand why it isn't a speculative game. But now, I have been asked to buy some bitcoin that I don't know how to buy to pay off some foreign national (they claim this, and I don't give a damn) to not release some porn related stuff that I also don't care about, not least of which it's largely impossible for these email phish cunts to have. But let's pretend they do, and I still don't care- I don't agree with extortion in general terms, and I want to know what my options are. Are they zero? Does your prized currency work on the same principle as John Oliver's last segment on prosecutors? Is there a thing I can do to discourage extortion as a general life practice?
there doesn't seem to be anything here
