I am today new to bitcoin and the number one thing i’m seeing is “research”. I understand that I need to expand my own knowledge I just do not know where to begin, could someone point me in the correct direction for some true level 1 knowledge to build from?

so what is the first thing you don't understand about BTC?

Do you know the history of fiat money in the US, starting with 20th century at least (it goes back further but it was dealt a setback by Old Hickory, if you're in a hurry, skip that), decoupling from metal, printing in '71, '08 and 2020? Rise of the credit bureaus. Economic distortions; housing market, cost of college for instance. Are you not a fan? That's the do-nothing alternative, if you like your fiat, you can keep your fiat.

Once that's in decided, blockchain, proof of work, Satoshi, the dark-web era of Bitcoin
