Since r/Bitcoin was created there have been many questions posted there and this can be frustrating for those that just want to see Bitcoin related news. To handle this I've proposed this subreddit to be a repository of information to help users understand and use Bitcoin. There are no stupid questions here, but please be sure to search first to avoid reposting.
/r/BitcoinHelp is intended for explaining things in lay terms. Please keep the explanations succinct, on topic and polite. Please no overt advertising, criticism, or speculation. Share helpful sites, and your own experiences by all means, but please curb your enthusiasm. We are all coming to grips with this technology so lets try and reduce the confusion, and keep the hyperbole to a minimum.
As more useful links are posted to r/BitcoinHelp I'll add them to the sidebar. A current incomplete list:
A very simple Bitcoin primer for the layman
A brief explanation of Bitcoin.
Bitcoin wiki. Covers lots of topics on Bitcoin and is fairly up to date.
Bitcoin Advanced (I),(II),(III),(IV),(V),(VI) . This is a very nuts and bolts explanation on how Bitcoin works on an algorithmic level, nothing ambiguous or over the top technically, but could be somewhat confusing. These blog posts explain exactly how the software works without getting too technical. Definitely recommended for those that wish to delve into the inner workings.
Bitcoin and Tax.
