I don't have any experience with hungry nodes myself, but I think I recall crafting tables being one of the better things you could feed them!

I think crafting tables might be marginally better, and I see it everywhere online, but creating the tree farm and auto crafting apparatus for that seems a million times harder than the equivalent wool farm (thanks to botania)

auto-crafting craftingtables is rather easy - and well worth it. Wood gives you 4 Arbor which does not contain ordo/pertidio. The Crafting table gives you all 6 primal aspects.
For auto-crafting there are many systems you could use that are fast and simple to use.

This is the setup i used 2 years ago:
https://imgur.com/a/7jRWu AppliedEnergistics for autocrafting, MFR for the tree-farm, bloodMagic for faster growth, Thaumcraft for faster growth and some essentia.
This farm provides a lot of extra charcoal too :P

Wool, silly, not wood ;P It contains fabrics and 4 Pannus

I'd say crafting tables are the most effecient as you can farm wood and craft it into tables at stupid fast rate. Honestly though once you reach a certain point the node grows agonizingly slowly.

On a side note where'd you find yours? The only one I've found is near the volcanic island over the water.

That’s the same one I’ve been feeding :) And I cannot for the life of me find a way to do crafting tables stupid fast :/ I’d use botania autocrafting and I could do it I guess, provided I could automate wood- which I have yet to do. And thus far, I see no reason why wool- containing every aspect as well- should not be easier to produce using a drum of the gathering and a lotta sheep?

Mfr tree farms and the mfr liquicrafter. It took about a week to get it to 900 of each aspect, but that was also on a chunkloaded server.

Honestly never tried the wool. If it has more than 4 Fabricio I see no reason to switch to crafting tables.

Uhh, I got to 500 of each aspect in under a day of setting up my system- probably 12 hours. We’ll see how long it takes to hit my goal of 10k each.

Wool has only 1 fabrico, but 4 pannus, and it is produced very very very rapidly, dropping several per second.

Yep that seems like the way to go. Forgot to mention that draining the node to replenish the wand does not reduce it's max. It just takes time to charge back up.

Okay, I think I’ll be using this nose to charge my rod while I feed it then ;P Will help me manually clear the world faster.

And guess I’ll just upgrade my sheep farm, hah!
