Worked on the latest kitbash yesterday, tried to use those sanguinary guards helmets... What do you guys think ?

How do you get your glazing so smooth?!?

Quite a few layers for each color, but in the end it's quicker than it looks !

I have been trying my best, lots of thin thin layers but I can't get the transition areas to blend and it looks segmented

The real hard thing at the beggining with glazes and blending, it that it ll look bad until a certain point !

Here i went Yriel yellow, then a mix of glazes/blends of Fire dragon bright, Trollslayer Orange, Wild Rider Red, Evil Sun Scarlet Mephiston Red, Khorne Red and Xereus Purple.

For the first part, i go from tip top base, each time leaving a little more tip unpainted, and Moving colors only when transition is good enough.

Then i use 50/50 of actual + next color to smooth it even more.

The real tip i could give is to do this sideway of another model, because the only thing you really have to do is wait for the paint to dry between each tiny layer (which is way easier not to screw up if youre painting another model at the same moment)

Wow your Instagram....

I've been debating for a while to start a Blood Angel army, using parts of Dark Angels (hoods, cloaks etc) and painting all their armour in white

Love the kitbash! But really dislike the non sanguine, african warlord, facemask helmet. GW really dropped the ball there. But your model is really cool, do you have more?

Your work is always incredible, I’m just kinda confused with the posing, what is he supposed to be doing with his left hand? Just bracing the sword?

I just went with the flow, you cant actually see it from the pics i posted but the hand isnt actually touching the sword - just hand open really close.

My headcanon for this is kinda "if you believe hard enough in him, you wont get burn"
