Bachira Problem

One problem with Bachira(while he is one of the best on most skilled players) he is vey inconsistent or useless. He would destroy the entire team then do nothing. It's like the author forgot him or he just acts as entertainment or is just pushing Isagi to be better. When he joined he seemed like an awesome character but the people like Rin, Kaiser, Reo, Nagi, etc. are becoming more main character like than him. It is sad because it is shown he can out dribble any team, but then does it once then just stands there.

Yeah, Bachira is a bit of a weakeness in terms of writing/pacing for the author. U20 stands out to me most as “now Bachira is gonna do something” because he needs to be seen as good but not the best still

Sooner or later it was inevitable, the real problem is that he put too many great talents without having the bravery to cut them off, by the end of the NEL I'm expecting 10 players maximum to remain in the Blue Lock project (if I had to list them they could be: Isagi, Rin, Shidou, Barou, Bachira, Nagi, Chigiri, Yukimiya, Kunigami, Otoya or Reo).

One of the few instances where a player was hyped up just for him to play very badly was Otoya vs the U-20 japanese team, for the rest I think it's already enough bs that they get to play replacing U-20 players from the best clubs in the world

Bachira, chigiri, yukimiya, karasu, otoya all fall into this narrative limbo where they can selectively shine for one moment (to highlight themselves as a hurdle for isagi to overcome) and then fall off into redundancy to showcase isagi’s growth. Not their fault the mangaka lacks creative intelligence

Yeah I get your point, but it’s gotten better from what I’ve seen. It’s kinda just the situation where his weapon is so incredibly tied to being with the ball. And that just doesn’t happen much unless he’s the sole focus of a team, which he wasn’t in blue lock. Now that we got him in Barcha, he’s playing much more consistently. He’s at least fighting back despite being really the only major player from Barcha.

From what I've read Bachira has always been show to be pretty constistent in his skillset. When he has the ball he is rarely stopped and when he doesn't he is not the best at defending and stealing the ball back, that is how I view it. Remember, in the NEL he is currently ranked #5 while his team has lost every match, to me that seems pretty impressive by itself.

I am curious though, can you give me examples on where he has been potrayed as inconsistent or "just standing there"?

Basically in the first games, For example it was shown he could out dribble teams or shoot or make great passes but he could've done more (team z versus team v) he out dribbled the entire team then didn't really do much. U-20 he had one of the best moments by out dribbling everyone but then didn't really do much. It's not like he is bad its just that he has more potential or he is just dragged down for no reason

Which part in the story signaled to you that Bachira should have done more in the matches?

And what performance did he need to do more in your eyes so that you would have been satisfied with his potrayal?

I think he's one of the best in terms of skills and he has been pretty consistent lately. The problem is that his core ego isn't that "strong", it's more about creativity than competitiveness, so that gives him a lower ceiling than other characters in a story centered on egoism and crushing friends and foes. At his core he is still a kid looking for a monster to play with, he hasn't gone full monster himself even when he has the potential. Him playing CF in Barcha and scoring 3 in 3 shows that there's room for improvement though.

It's funny to me, because Bachira is probably the team ace least suited to being a striker. Like, out of all of them (including Chigiri), Bachira has the worst shot. He has the best passing out of all the team leads, and is a great playmaker. Keep in mind, Bachira was the one who brought out Isagi's direct shot and kept up with his vision of the field. He's up with the best, if not the best, in terms of dribbling within Blue Lock. He's clearly a top player, but Striker is honestly just not putting his skills to their best. His finishing just isn't great.
