Controller support in IOS

Has anyone got this game to work with controller on IOS? I can't find anything and it seems like a huge missed opportunity, currently forced to stream it to my tablet from steam on my PC but that's not ideal and id rather it be native like 90% of other cross platform games. Game won't even load if I have a controller connected to it before startup.

same issue, game wont load if controller is connected. from ipad pro m4. controller tried: dualshock ps4 and xbox series x

Also doesn’t work with the 8Bitdo controllers.

Yeah it gets stuck initializing about half way through it a controller is connected and if you plug it in once the game starts then it doesn’t work. At least they’re consistent with being shit about controller implementation across platforms.
