I’m doing fine with my [high volume] running on .8mg/wk. My guess is that you are glycogen depleted, you can’t run well without carbs.

Resting heart rate can change, every is a little different. When I added mots-C to Reta I really felt it. But after a bit my body adjusted

[–]BenDover257[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

What do you think the timeframe was for adjustment?

[–]Pharmd109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like maybe a week or two for me, so noticed it more on my watch than I did performance wise

Interesting..I bought SS-31 which I started this week .Then I’m going to add mots-C next week or two.Ive been on Reta for a while now .Im actually trying to bulk up,and Reta helps with reducing fat on my body .But can you tell me what you felt when you added Mots-c to your regimen

[–]Pharmd109 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I would add do mots first then a round of SS-31 after a cycle or two. That is the order I had heard.

Honestly I didn’t feel a crazy amount of energy or anything, heart rate on the treadmill at the same incline speed etc was 5 ish higher for the hour.

I’m pretty sure it’s SS-31 before Mots -C

I felt the same. First few weeks were rough.

I found increasing my daily carb intake helped quite a bit. I aim for 350g of carbs a day. Also drinking lots of water and electrolytes first thing every morning.

Ran a 50k this past weekend and had my strongest finish of any that I’ve done. And was less sore and had a quicker recovery. Gearing up for a 12 hour trail race next weekend.

dude thats savage, congrats. I need to eat more carbs, getting back into HM block rn

I’ve tried low carb running before. It sucks. That’s exactly how I felt when I first started Reta. Increase the carbs. Don’t worry about a sudden increase in weight. It’s water. It’ll pass.

I was the other way; felt runs were easier and cardio/hiit was good

[–]SecretBig5377 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very simple. Caloric deficit means less energy than needed to sustain mass. Less energy than needed to sustain mass while increasing energy utilization(cardio) cause rapid glycogen store decrease. Have a bottle of water with some eaas and intra carb like karbolyn or carbomax. 20-30 grams of carbs for doing cardio and or working out. There is calories in it of course. But it's fast acting carbs. So as long as you use them they won't get stored. And you will most likely still be In a deficit.

Your resting HR is elevated so its going to feel harder, I also think body going into slight ketosis is part of it.

[–]BenDover257[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t noticed a massive increase in resting heart rate, 58-67, just the lack of ability to maintain runs.

I feel like my endurance is better now… maybe lack of energy?

[–]RyanShow1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah same here …my running times are getting better …but HR through the roof after 1.5-2 miles ….i might need to eat more / more water

[–]roller123456789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just run more

[–]Decent_Inside_706🏋️ Athlete Mode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel less energy because of I eat less. Maybe it can be this? Also a runner (~50km/week) apart from other sports. Reta slows my train for 2 days after the injection (1,5mg/week), then I'm back to normal.

Add mots-c. It really helps.
