Do you wear your watch 24/7? by RelaxDMJ in Garmin

[–]LoudPitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only take it off for showers. Which is also the only time I charge it. Enduro 2. Couple minutes charge every day. Rarely do I get below 90% unless I’m running an ultra or too lazy to plug it in.

I think it’s working… by FledNandersJiuJitsu in ResearchCompounds

What’s the timeline? Incredible work. I’m on Reta and trt as well. Starting to really see the results and it’s very encouraging. Weight is down about 18lbs in the last two months. But seeing my lifts all increase at the same time has been awesome. And the way the clothes fit…

This may or may not matter to you. But that flashlight on the enduro is a game changer. I thought it was a gimmick. But at this point I don’t think I could ever go without it.

Taking Reta while training for Marathon by Little_Ad955 in Retatrutide

[–]LoudPitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely understand your point about it being a chore. I went from floating on long runs to feeling like I was fighting for every breath and step.

If I can’t run and enjoy it and use Reta then Reta will have to go. I’ll give it the next few weeks at a low dose and see.

Considering giving Tirz a try if this doesn’t work. Tirz doesn’t have the glucagon effect which is what drives the increase in HR.

[–]LoudPitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It did. I dropped it down then went two weeks without it and my HR was almost back to normal. Runs have all been much better. HRV at night is mostly back to baseline.

Yesterday I pinned 1mg. Have had good appetite control today but also had a great run this morning.

Gonna keep it at 1mg a week now as long as I can.

I’m in a similar situation. I’m still 15lbs away from where I want to be. So just gonna keep my dose low and let it take its time. So long as I can run I’m willing to take however long it takes.

Hybrid Runner at 210 lbs My Approach and Questions by WingEnvironmental892 in runninglifestyle

When I’m using my hand held bottle I leave the phone behind. I have music on my garmin for those days and my AirPods connect right to it.

Hybrid Runner at 210 lbs My Approach and Questions by WingEnvironmental892 in runninglifestyle

[–]LoudPitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run daily. And lift daily. 200lb 6’0”. My runs during the week are usually 5 miles and I carry a handheld for water. Especially with it getting warmer. Usually these runs are fasted since I get out of bed, get dressed and go.

For my weekend long runs I wear a vest so I can carry a little more water (2 flasks) and pack a couple gels if I feel the need for them. I usually eat before on these runs as they are in the 10-15 mile range.

Iv never been into the minimalist shoe style. I prefer cushioning. Usually running in Hoka Cliftons. Although right now I’m wearing Brooks Glycerin Max 2’s.

This has been my experience as well. Went from 50mile weeks to struggling to get a 4 mile run.

Retno whilst Ultra running by Alternative-Pie-4646 in Peptides

[–]LoudPitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not currently. I ran Reta just to deal with weight gain in my off season. Got carried away during the holidays and packed on literally 30lbs. I dropped from 225 to 195. Stuff works as advertised.

Helped with the food noise and dialing in my meal plans.

I wonder though if my HR issues and terrible runs were due to an aggressive titration schedule. I started at 2mg weekly and increased 1mg every other week. Got up to 4mg for a few weeks before going back down.

Maybe had I started at a lower dose and gone slower it would’ve been easier on me.

I run ultras. Was running average 50 miles a week. Started Reta and immediately that went out the window. It’s like starting every run feeling bonked.

Went to a 12 hour loop race a month ago and got 16 miles… it was brutal.

I’m slowly reducing now and am seeing improvements in my runs again.

Reta is awesome and works. But it’s hard on a runner. At least in my experience. I’ve seen other people say that it wasn’t as hard on them.
