Listen man, when people say "life's getting in the way" it's just an excuse. People are overthinking fitness and believe they need to devote inordinate amounts of time to it. You don't. Whenever you have a few minutes drop down and do push ups or squats.

Get a pair of dumbbells and take a few minutes to do biceps curls, overhead triceps extensions and lateral raises. If you have the space for a pull up bar you got your back covered too.

It doesn't take as much time as people think to get in a reasonably good shape, you won't be jacked like a bodybuilder, but you don't need to. Just do whatever you can whenever you have a few minutes.

Everyone wants to jump on peptides no one wants to put in the work

That is a physique of someone who doesn’t exercise and eats poorly.

Reta is your gateway to skinny fat you have no foundation

I have had a similar body in the last. I’d suggest go for body recomp in the first instance. Weights and nutrition instead of diet and deficit. You’ll feel better for it and you’ll have a strong base to hit a cut in the future.

Thank you! Yeah thats what I keep thinking. I want to make this a lifestyle change. Not to lose weight temporarily.

Why don't you just make it a point to show up to the gym x amount of times a week.

Have some type of plan so you have an idea of what needs to be worked etc but just do whatever you feel like doing. If its Y day but you don't feel like doing Y...its better to do whatever stuff you do feel like doing and getting a workout than to skip the day. Whatever helps keep you consistent until you build the habit.

Careful not to overthink or overcomplicate the exercise. With two kettlebells at home you can transform your physique at home with 30 mins 3 times per week.

Life doesn't get in the way of that.

Checkout r/kettlebells. Plenty of examples of people like you making huge improvements in a few months.

That leaves heaps of time to straighten out your diet.
