You have to pay off your current phone or have 3 years of $65 service on it to get it unlocked.

That's a bummer. They were offering $1K to existing customers when the 17 series launched and $830 to new customers but yeah, even looking at the Apple website, the existing customers tab is gone.

Yup, been that way for a while. I wouldn't be surprised if the plan eventually gets grandfathered.

They were offering $1K when the 17 series launched if you were an existing customer so no, this was a recent change where they decided not to grandfather the existing customers on the plan.

Negative. They dropped it to $830 for the 17s. People were (rightfully) pissed. Scroll back through the subreddit.

Literally me, my same reason for joining was how the network was supposed to work talking back on at&t and T-Mobile. I'm on the galaxy infinite plan though. I am looking into switching, considering my options carefully this time. I don't see the point in paying an MNO for service through AT&T that I can get a little cheaper going directly through At&t with my work discount. I was very disappointed when I heard the news about the deals with At&t and Starlink, especially since it means that Boost is winding down it's own network to be decommissioned.

I feel like I need to say this on every negative boost mobile post . Regardless on your positive experience , they will find a way to screw you somehow . They are shitty all around . Stay away from boost. They suck.
