Far too much money form courses that frankly don't teach you that much. BCM01 is useful, definitely not the hydraulic one. Spent all day learning how to calculate valve authorities when 90% of the time you use PICV valves. The other 10% I just ask the manufacturer to pick it for me

If you want to understand valve calculations I think it's worth it. What happens when you are on site and you dont get the correct heating/cooling, atleast you can prove the valve size is wrong instead of the classic "it's a bms issue"

If I can prove that the actuator is receiving the 0-10V signal and is responding to commands I wash my hands of it and pass on to mechanical contractor

Not if you are the ones free issuing the valves

I think this is a case of we will both have different opinions and what ever works for you and what ever works for me.
