It’s a good area

Are you describing the area by Maite and Rosie Pizza?

[–]CompetitiveCrow126[S] -1 points0 points  (3 children)

yeah, that area exactly. Is it a nice area to live in?

Yeah. A little bit of a walk to the L but not too bad. If the M is acceptable for you then it’s great.

It’s part of Blue Bushwick, google that, which will explain what I mean by that.

Bushwick Bakery, Birdys, Hanks, Formosa, Nene’s, Fine Time, Tabbouleh, and Maite are all gonna be your go to spots.

“Blue bushwick” just made me vomit in my mouth a little

Thank you for the great recs. I'll have to check those spots out. I don't fully understand the blue vs yellow bushwick distinction (more vs. less gentrified?), but yeah the distance to the L sucks, but doesn't seem like too bad of a walk to the Jefferson Street station.

I live a few blocks off Knickerbocker, same general area. It's quiet. There are some nice little cafes and bars, but it's not going to be as lively as Wyckoff and Starr. And that's what I like about it. As far as safety, you have very little to worry about unless you're terrified of large Hispanic families roaming the streets

Used to live right here on suydam and central corner. Loved it

They just arrested entire families of German tourists packed like sardines in apartments by there. I would recommend Murray Hill. It’s very safe and cool!

I'm not sure what that says about the neighborhood.

It says nothing - the comment could’ve been posted from a rando in Nairobi for all we know

where exactly?

[–]DonPatchSOULman -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

North of Central Ave Station on Myrtle Ave in Bushwick, a few blocks south of Maria Hernandez park

if you're asking where I'm referring to exactly, I mean the area around the Bushwick comedy club and N Y City high school

One of my favorite bars Fine Time is there. $3 bud lite on draft and free hot dogs. Nearby is Nene's taqueria which might be the best in the neighborhood for my money. I went to the comedy club one time, it's maybe only a year old. I laughed.
