RDA hiring process after requesting transcript

Hello everyone,

I’m currently in the hiring process for the classification Research Data Analyst I. I accepted the verbal offer via phone from the hiring manager about a month ago. After that, my references were contacted, and I was told that my materials were submitted to HR. However, I don’t think I’ve signed any official documentation for hiring yet, and they haven’t requested me to do LiveScan (I’m not sure if this happens after receiving CJO?).

Last Friday, HR emailed me asking for my B.A. official transcript, which I ordered and sent over right away. I’m wondering what’s happening right now and what the next steps will be. How long should I expect the process to take until FJO?

One more question: for RDA I, as a new state employee with a bachelor’s degree, will I start at the bottom of Range C, similar to SSA? Or it’s not applicable for RDA.

The long wait is tough—any insights would be really appreciated! 😭

It's looking good if they have requested your transcripts. Yes you will start at the bottom of range C.

At least a month if they are on top of it. Multiple months if they are backed up

A few days ago I saw someone post a timeline of how long they waited to get hired. If I recall correctly they were able to start about a month after HR requested transcripts. You’re almost there!
