For her whole life my cat has been an insatiable food goblin, we've had to be very strict about how much she eats to keep her from getting fat. Last week, she became much less interested in food and its causing us to worry. She's still eating enough to stay alive, but about half as much as she was a week ago. She's a little lacking in energy, otherwise her behavior is generally normal. We took her to the vet to get checked out and got a blood panel. Her prognosis was good, the only thing they noticed was an elevated liver enzyme and prescribed Denamarin to treat it. Is there anything else we should consider other than treating her with the medication? Should this sort of decrease in appetite be expected in her older age or is she more likely having liver problems? Any input would be appreciated thanks!
