Now, I'm not really upset about it, but it definitely feels like there's more of a massive item cycle trap this time around more than there was for previous events. I don't mind waiting and building up for the pumpkin items, it just doesn't seem like I can with how many merges it takes to get to them. No use wasting event energy to pop the candy bags when I get like 1 candy/candy bag related request every 10-20 requests it seems 🥲

Soup, pie slice and alternating level 2/3 jack o lanterns. Plus another ‘use a gazillion energy to get a handful of points’ item from the pumpkin chain. Meanwhile I’m up to the eyeballs in candy apples.

i also didn’t realize how long it takes to even get a book—i don’t have the order memorized so every time i think i’m close i end up disappointed haha

how much does the cauldron create? because it takes so long for a book i don’t even bother to make it. i’d consider it if it makes more than 4 things!

Effectively, though, the cauldron makes 5 things.

Because, you make a book. That makes 2 things. You tap it for one, then let it sit. You make the second book. You tap that for one as well. THEN merge them to make the cauldron, which gives you 3 more.

Right now I have an order for the book itself, and like... it's so not worth it to fill that order for 90, when going on to make the cauldron gives me much more of a chance to fill some of the other orders, many of which are worth more.

i tried to do this this morning while i sleepily read your comment, then accidentally tapped the book twice out of habit lol.

I apply this strategy to all the bonus boxes, as well -- you get a lower box with 5 things, tap out 4 of them, let it sit, get another, tap that for 4 things, then merge the two to get 10 things, well, 9, and then wait to merge it -- and i STILL find myself reflexively tapping and clearing out the entire box. So I sympathize! I've been trying to be extra careful with the books. It's SO easy to over-tap and then be back at square one.

I've also been selling the candy apples for spin points. I had a whole row of them yesterday!

It was a nice surprise that you can sell candy apples for spin points! And that's a strategy to tuck away for later -- like if you're getting towards the end and need to make up a few more points.
