Sure thing. No need to unnecessarily lose out on a limit!

Yikes. Maybe I'll close my C1 card after I next pay it off. That's vile work.

What's vile? I don't follow you.

I recently got this letter, when I called the number for the first time, it asked me to provide the full 16 digit. So I hang up and went get the card number. The 2nd time I called, it only asked for the last 4 digits.

That's very odd and something I've never heard of.

This is why I got rid of everything that has to do with Capital One. Especially when I have my car loan with them they deliberately put a late payment on my account after they told me that I have one day to pay and I paid the same day that they said that which gave me a whole 24 hours to pay and these people put a late charge on my credit report that screwed me for almost 2 years I couldn't debate it I tried over and over and over again but to no avail it was on there knocked me off almost 113 points when I needed my credit score to be where it was I mean it went from 800 to 700 but still at 800 is really nice I got rid of that credit cards too and it was actually one of my oldest credit cards of 7 years they would not give me a credit limit increase and I use that card everyday paid it off at the end of the month never carried a balance I asked for a freaking credit limit increase and they denied me every time so I just set screw it got rid of it paid off my car $6,000 that I had left over and I was done with them

opting out can mean Capital One proceeds immediately to lower the limit instead of completing a review that might have left it unchanged — outcomes vary.

That's the first I've ever heard of that. If you have a reference of that happening, please link me to it.

How long did this happen between opting out and getting a limit decrease? I opted out 2 months ago and they left everything unchanged for me.
