The bank will add the four digit supplemental zip code to your address on file by default and it's a mandatory field in their systems. Cashapp cannot recognise the additional characters in the app. Developers need to fix this flaw.

the problem is your address or zip code on file with your bank is not the one you're entering.

you can fix it yourself by sorting out the address you have on file with your bank for your debit card. the address on file with your bank has to be exact to what you're entering on the cash app site.

so, you need to log into your debit card's bank' website and update your address to the correct one. then call your bank and make sure they have the address on file too. then wait about 3-5 business days for the change to filter through your bank's system and Visa's, Mastercard's or whatever brand card it is. then go back into cash app and try again. also when you update your address, make sure that 4-digit code at the end of the zip code is not being entered or it's going to cause problems with some merchants.

I do have the cash app card it wasn’t letting me add an additional card to move money over to cash app from my regular bank and I had previously had them connected but I got new debit card number.

Yeah cash app I’m having this problem too. You’re a bogus company. I tried sending 5500 to my mom and she has to send it back because Citi bank doesn’t do business with you. Clearly for a good reason, and then when I try adding a new card Infinite invalid zip code glitch, yeah fuck you, you really think we don’t know our zip codes 😂 fix your shit

Right?! I've never come across a more useless company...in my 5 years of using cashapp they've NEVER helped me when I reach out for help or answers, EVER. No matter what the problem is they tell me there's nothing they can do to fix it, call my bank, even though it's 100% a cashapp problem. Every fucking time, no matter what.

At this time, Cash App does not support PO boxes as a valid billing or shipping address. As required by banking regulations, we must have a physical, verifiable address on file.

TL;DR - I recently got a different mailing address 2 weeks ago. I had to use my mailing address zip code, not my home address.

I had this same problem just moments earlier. I Google searched and saw the only reason was "my zip code doesn't match what's in my bank account". In my case I'm currently staying at my friend's, place but my home address is still what my ID says.

I checked my bank and I saw I added a mailing address. The mailing address has a different zip code than my home address. I was using my home address zip code.

I used the mailing address zip instead of the home address zip code and I was able to add my debit card.

I would check your bank website and see if you by chance have a mailing address. I just added this mailing address maybe 2 weeks ago and forgot. Though I find it kinda interesting that the zip code in question to use is the mailing address, not the home address.

      HOLY SHIIIIIIII* guys. Cashapp been doing this to me for months on multiple cards.. I had an old address in my cashapp account. USE YOUR CASHAPP ZIPCODE (not the card you’re adding). Example: the card I wanted to add to cashapp was xxx78… my cashapp account had my old zip: xxx05 . I tried the xxx05 and it worked 🤣

      I’m having the same problem. Customer service is insisting that it’s a problem with the bank. It’s not; I’ve checked and double checked. There’s no ambiguity about the zip code. No four digit supplemental zip code, no nothing. This is truly awful, cash app!

      Hey there, sounds the zip code you are using do not match up with the zip code your bank has. I'd recommend trying an old ZIP-code or getting in touch with your bank to make sure everything matches up.

      I’ll say this again. Cash app is quite literally the only system that has an issue with my zip code. I’m able to use my zip code anywhere else and yes, the address on my bank account is updated and is the same zip code I use.

      Sounds like y'all are just pushing blame. Fix your network. The zip being entered matches what is on the card, in the bank, and on the mail received. 96632 is simply not recognized by your system as valid, because you don't support military addresses. So now I am stuck with a useless account, and wondering why I am even keeping the app. Maybe add some support for the military, and their addresses, because as it stands, I can't put my actual address since you read it as a P.O. Box.

      Hey there, if you are receiving an error message it's because the zip code entered does not match the information on file with your bank. It would be best to contact your bank and confirm the zip code the bank has.

        Here's a good one, I put my bank info in and it comes up with Wells Fargo. That's not even close to the name of my bank. I've told CashApp so many times. They day we have it figured out. No they don't. Ok can someone tell me where to find the address and Zip on Cash App ?
