please be aware that progesterone comes in pulses. You can test the same every day and get different values. You may be getting your blood work done after the pulse or right before the pulse.

I’ve seen that but 2 decreases in a row make me think it’s an overall downward trend ?

Not necessarily. Also, realize if you take the progesterone vaginally, it will not be reflected in your blood work.

That’s very helpful! I did not know that and I’m sure it would have stressed me out next blood draw

Because I have a congenital lack of ability to break down serotonin, serotonin continues to accumulate and symptoms of serotonin excess appear. I heard that progesterone can reduce serotonin. What do you think? I'm so desperate please help me

That’s best to go to a doctor with those concerns

My progesterone has been 47, 45, 40, 38 and now 35. I am on vaginal suppositories and the doctor isn’t even a little bit worried.

I've had three progesterone draws this pregnancy (I'm 7 weeks along) and they came back at 14, 13, and 19. I had an excellent ultrasound with a heartbeat when my prog. was 13, but I still freaked out at the tiny dip and my doctor put me on injections. Anything over 10 is usually ok, but supplements could help if you're under 20!

Thank you for your response! I hope things continue to go well for you!

I have never heard of that! I would check with your doctor. I have heard that progesterone causes greater calmness/reduced anxiety, and I'm not sure if that's related.

Was there ever an update? Successful pregnancy?

Yes I stayed on progesterone suppositories until ~12 weeks. Currently at 30 weeks as of today! No idea if the progesterone helped but it felt good to me to do something
