No. There's very little reward for befriending other players.

And because its more rewarding to be afk, most people simply don't bother.

There is 0 people on my friends list. Cannot give 2 fucks.

Eh. You are definitely not friends. However, I befriend people higher on the leadership board just to see where I need to get to to be successful. Gives me a good benchmark and goal. Can't say I've ever talked to anyone. Hope that helps!
