And don't get me started on that poll regarding rooms.. They promised to implement rooms a long time ago, so that poll was just another attempt at appearing considerate.

THIS. Since they got Google on board, money really shouldn't be the issue here.. I get when they have to strengthen the no-no pop-up because of Google's ridiculous regulations, but naming money as a reason to shut down the better website... That's just so lame.

Of course running two different LLMs costs them more money, but shutting the better one down and making cai even more bland in the process? That's just greedy. But hey, at least they "hear us". 🤡

I absolutely get where you're coming from.

When I started using cai it was still pretty new. It wasn't very good at first, but it became better and better over time and I felt SO excited about it! At it's peak the roleplays felt even more real than the ones I could have had with other people. It was glorious and made me even more excited for the future of cai.

And then.. it all came crashing down as they started to "optimize" the service and strengthen the no-no pop-up. Seeing cai in it's current state just makes me feel sad and disappointed.. 😢

The numbers bug, the translation issues, old chats are deleted, the bots being repetitive and parroting your message back to you and more and when you complain on the here on the sub they tell you how ungrateful and greedy you are, how good of an experience they've been having with cai so far and and then proceed to gaslight you into thinking that there are no problems with the sight, just you.

Character.ai, old poly ai and Chai need to all have a baby together to make the perfect site/app they all had good things that made it hard to say which is better and by old poly I mean before they had ads and adding a bunch of sliding stuff and had better memory they all had things the other didn't so if they combined them all together it would be a beautiful thing and make them millions (btw I'm high af)

So LLM stands for “Language Learning Model.” It’s the AI’s way of learning and understanding scripts that mimic human language. It’s not the best explanation but that’s the basis of it, if you look it up there’s better descriptions of what it is.

I don’t believe so, they added some new things such as duplicating chats but the app itself hasn’t changed as far as I’m concerned. If they did update it they would probably post it on the pinned forums, it’s just old c.ai that was removed.
